Rider coaching and training

Whilst Quiet Rush, at first glance, might look like just a high performance eBike retailer specialising in OffRoad electric bikes, we also offer support services to riders to help them build skills, confidence and capability to improve all aspects of cycling. With a background in Mountain Bike touring, commuting, racing, adventure and family riding, we're well versed in what it takes to ride safely and extract maximum joy from each moment on two wheels
Our focus is not on competitive sports coaching - there are dedicated cycling coaches specialised in each of the cycling racing disciplines to help you with that. Our focus instead is on:
Our focus is not on competitive sports coaching - there are dedicated cycling coaches specialised in each of the cycling racing disciplines to help you with that. Our focus instead is on:
- Getting people understanding their bikes - having them fit well and be safe and enjoyable to ride;
- Riding safely, comfortable and confident in their skills to handle a range of trail challenges with joy and the 'zing' feeling that comes with tackling obstacles well;
- Increasing riders capacity to use their bikes for utility cycling and active transport as a car alternative.
Boosting cycling participation as Lifestyle Medicine
Cycling is well recognised as a great form of Lifestyle Medicine (creating a lifestyle and healthy choices that support a good state of health) and is also the most efficient form of transport. Whilst we like to go one step further and augment that with a little bit of human scale power assist, unpowered riding is also a great option. We advocate for electric bikes as a viable option where it makes sense to use them, as they provide an excellent healthy lifestyle option for people who might not otherwise cycle, due to commuting needs, injury, chronic illness, disability or rehabilitation.
Getting women cycling
Cycling Australia have studied women's cycling as a stakeholder group in 2013 and published the results. A quick summary is shown below (but is available also at http://www.cycling.org.au/Portals/10/SheRides/InfographicWomens.pdf):
